Ivydale League of Friends

Improving the lives of children and other members of the Ivydale School community, through events, projects, and fundraising

About

Who are we?

We are Ivydale Primary School’s parent-teacher association – a group of  parents who are passionate about building a vibrant community around the school.

Our aim is to bring all parents, carers, teachers, and children closer together and give all pupils access to additional resources and experiences that compliment the great opportunities already provided by the school.

What do we do?

As a registered charity, we’re here to raise money for extra resources for the school by running fundraising events such as our school discos, Readathon, Fun Run and Summer Fair.

However, in running these events, we also aim to promote a friendly and inclusive community for everyone at Ivydale, as well as opening up the school to the wider local community who we believe benefit from the strong social ties it can create.

Where does the money go?

The money raised from our events helps pay for school trips, play equipment, learning resources, sport sessions, music lessons, art materials and technology facilities, alongside visits by performance groups, authors and other workshops.
